Please be advised that a dog license cannot be issued if the rabies vaccination expires in the current year.  

A FREE RABIES SHOT CLINIC will be held Saturday, March 3 from 9am to 11am behind the Municipal Building.  Dog licenses are due March 31.  Dog licenses will not be issued during the clinic. 

Non-spayed/non-neutered         $11.00
Spayed/Neutered                     $ 8.00
Late Fee - after March 31         $5.00 per month

Please notify the Township if your dog is now deceased or no longer owned.

Dog license renewal forms are mailed in January to all homeowners who have previously licensed their dogs in Chesterfield Township.  If you have misplaced that renewal form or have a new dog to license, you may use the form below.  Please read the information carefully on the form.  You can use your computer's mouse and then print function to complete the form.  After sending the form in with the necessary fees and documentation, your dog license will be mailed to you.

TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE STATES: No person who owns or shall have the custody of any dog shall permit the same to run at large in any public street or in any public place or upon property other than that of its owner.     All dogs in the recreation areas throughout the Township are required to be leashed.  Failure to leash your dog and / or clean up after your dog will subject you to the penalties prescribed by Township Ordinance. 

Allowing dogs to run at large is punishable by a fine.  The Animal Control Officer can be contacted by calling (609) 723-8300.  Lost dogs picked up by the Animal Control officer are taken to the Burlington County Animal Shelter in Westampton Township.
