Historical Society
The Historical Society is looking for historical photos of old businesses, community events, farms or important people. These photos will be scanned and returned. For more information, call Debbie at (609) 291-9351."Welcome to Chesterfield Program"
This new initiative is being started with the hope of connecting new Chesterfield residents with our community by sharing with them all that Chesterfield has to offer.
Personal visits will be made to each new resident beginning in the month of September 2008. They will be presented a gift of an eco-grocery bag with the CHS logo on it. Each bag will contain collateral materials from businesses and organizations within the township. We will make similar visits (with bags) to residents who moved in beginning January 2008 and of course, will connect with new residents going forward on a monthly basis.
For more information, contact Melissa Hoffmann here or call at 609-372-4791.

About us:
The Chesterfield Historical Society was founded in 1976 by several township residents who were interested in bringing people together who were interested in the history of Chesterfield Township. The goals of the Historical Society are to educate, maintain and preserve the history of our Township.
Over the years, the Society has been able to acquire, maintain and preserve items native to Chesterfield in order to preserve the Township's charm and history for the benefit and improvement of our community. Some of these items are on display at the Historical Society Museum on 530 Ward Ave in Crosswicks. The Museum is open to the public, free of charge, on the second and fourth Sunday of the month from May to October.
Chesterfield Township is very proud of its three historical villages: Chesterfield, Sykesville and Crosswicks as well as the abundant farmland. We also welcome all of our new Chesterfield neighbors and are anxious for you to learn about the history of Chesterfield. We welcome your membership into the Society.
