NOTICE - TOWNSHIP OF CHESTERFIELD

          PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Township Committee of the Township of Chesterfield will hold a special meeting Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 6:30 PM in the Municipal Building, 300 Bordentown-Chesterfield Road in Chesterfield Township.  The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the contract with the Chesterfield Township Police Department with representatives of the Chesterfield Township FOP.  There will also be a discussion of outstanding 2010 Municipal Budget items that need to be addressed.  Portions of the meeting will be held in Executive Session.  Formal action may be taken.

Important Message from the Township:

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP CODE, “WHENEVER SNOW HAS FALLEN AND THE ACCUMULATION IS SUCH THAT IT COVERS THE STREET OR HIGHWAY, NO VEHICLE SHALL BE PARKED ON EITHER SIDE OF ANY MUNICIPAL ROAD OR STREET WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP OF CHESTERFIELD.  THIS PARKING PROHIBITION SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT AFTER THE SNOW HAS CEASED UNTIL THE STREETS HAVE BEEN PLOWED SUFFICIENTLY AND TO THE EXTENT THAT PARKING WILL NOT INTERFERE WITH THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC.” 
 
Anyone violating this provision is subject to a summons and possible fine of up to $50.00 for each offense.  It is imperative for the safety and welfare of all residents that vehicles are removed from the street in order to allow the removal of snow and hazardous conditions.  Your cooperation is expected and appreciated.
           
        


TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE STATES: No person who owns or shall have the custody of any dog shall permit the same to run at large in any public street or in any public place or upon property other than that of its owner.

All dogs in the recreation areas throughout the Township are required to be leashed.  Failure to leash your dog and / or clean up after your dog will subject you to the penalties prescribed by Township Ordinance.

Notice of Adoption of Master Plan Re-Examination Report 

            NOTICE is hereby given by the Planning Board for the Township of Chesterfield, Burlington County, New Jersey Planning Board that after due notice and an opportunity to be heard the Board adopted on December 8, 2009 with amendments a “Master Plan Re-Examination Report”, for Chesterfield Township in Burlington County, New Jersey dated December 8, 2009 prepared by Clarke, Caton and Hintz, of 100 Barrack Street, New Jersey.  A copy of the report is on file in the Office of the Secretary for the Board within the Township Building, located at 300 Bordentown-Chesterfield Road, Chesterfield, New Jersey 08515. It is available for review and copying at their Office during the hours between 9AM and 4PM. Questions can be directed to the Secretary’s Office at 609-298-2311.
