Important Message from the
Township: IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP CODE, “WHENEVER SNOW HAS FALLEN AND THE ACCUMULATION IS SUCH THAT IT COVERS THE STREET OR HIGHWAY, NO VEHICLE SHALL BE PARKED ON EITHER SIDE OF ANY MUNICIPAL ROAD OR STREET WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP OF CHESTERFIELD. THIS PARKING PROHIBITION SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT AFTER THE SNOW HAS CEASED UNTIL THE STREETS HAVE BEEN PLOWED SUFFICIENTLY AND TO THE EXTENT THAT PARKING WILL NOT INTERFERE WITH THE Anyone violating this provision is subject to a summons and possible fine of up to $50.00 for each offense. It is imperative for the safety and welfare of all residents that vehicles are removed from the street in order to allow the removal of snow and hazardous conditions. Your cooperation is expected and appreciated. |

TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE STATES:
No person who owns or shall have the custody of any
dog shall permit the same to run at large in any public street or in any
public place or upon property other than that of its owner. All dogs in the recreation areas throughout the Township are required to be leashed. Failure to leash your dog and / or clean up after your dog will subject you to the penalties prescribed by Township Ordinance. |
