A letter to all Chesterfield Residents from the United States Postal Service
Dear Postal Customers of Chesterfield Township,
Chesterfield Township
requested that the U.S. Postal Service review your delivery area with the
intent of consolidating Chesterfield Township under the Zip Code of 08515.
The proposal to change the mailing address last line was based solely on the
request of Chesterfield Township and was not initiated by the United States
Postal Service. In May 2005, the U.S. Postal Service complied with the
request and surveyed the residents of Chesterfield who receive mail delivery
from Allentown, NJ 08501; Bordentown, NJ 08505; Columbus, NJ 08022;
Trenton, NJ 08620; Wrightstown, NJ 08562 and Yardville, NJ 08620. The intent of the
survey was to seek customer approval to realign the delivery territory and
unify mailing addresses for the residents of Chesterfield Township.
The survey results
produced an overwhelming response in favor of the proposal. The last
line of your address will be replaced with Chesterfield, NJ 08515.
