C.T.A.S.A. -
Chesterfield Township Against Substance Abuse the Chesterfield
Township Alliance was established in 1990 as part of the the N.J.
Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. The
Alliance is made up of volunteers who plan, coordinate and conduct
alcoholism, tobacco and other drug abuse prevention activities as
a community based prevention program. The Chesterfield
Alliance was established by the Township Committee and has
representatives from education, health, law enforcement, civic and
business organizations. C.T.A.S.A. has completed needs
assessments, the most recent one in 2004. They submit a
yearly grant based on needs assessment and receive approval from
the LACADA (Local Advisory Committee on Alcoholism and Drug
Abuse). Funding for the Alliances is provided by Drug
Enforcement Demand Reduction (DEDR) funds and some municipal
matching funds.
To date the Alliance has funded assemblies and drug education efforts at the elementary school, Red Ribbon Week, the D.A.R.E. program for 6 th grade, the Summer alternative Activity Program, a Chesterfield High School student at ANYTOWN, the Peer Mediation programs at Northern Burlington and Chesterfield and in the past, the post Prom Activities at Northern Burlington.

Chesterfield Township has its own post office on 3 New St in Crosswicks. The hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
