Recycling Do's
 

Paper - newspaper, office and school paper, phone books, magazines, catalogs, brown paper bags, cardboard, chipboard (cereal boxes, tissue boxes, and other gray paperboard)  and paperback books.  Also, shredded paper in brown paper bags or cardboard boxes.


Cans - aluminum, steel / tin beverage cans and empty non-hazardous aerosols.

Glass - Bottles and Jars

Plastic Bottles - Only those with a neck or pouring spout and with #1 or #2 on the bottom.



 


 

Common Mistakes
These items should NOT be placed in your recycling container.
 

NO motor oils, lubricants, paint and pesticide containers.

NO hardback books.

NO  wax coated boxes or cartons.
 

NO foil and foil coated items.

NO plastic bags, pails, trays, tubs and lids.

NO mugs, glasses, light bulbs, window glass or vases.

No plastic bags, Styrofoam lids or caps.
