NJ Saver

Who is eligible?
NJ residents who owned and paid property taxes on a home in New Jersey that was their principal residence in New Jersey that was their principal residence on October 1.
What is the benefit?

Benefits will be phased in over a 5-year periods beginning in 1998. NJ SAVER rebate checks will  average $120 for tax year 1998. Checks will $600 for tax year 2002 when program is fully implemented.
How to apply.

Call 1-877-658-2972 (toll free within NJ) or 609-826-4288 (anywhere).
When to apply.

By June 15.
Payment Date
To be mailed on or before September 15.

Note: Homeowners eligible for both the homestead Rebate and the NJ SAVER rebate will receive the higher of the two benefits.
